It was another rough game at Madison Square Garden in New York as the Devils edged the Rangers 3-2 in regulation to tie the Eastern Conference Final 1-1.

Martin Brodeur proved that age is not a factor in this game as he has some highlight reel pad saves including one that went off his foot in the air! He led his team to a tense 3-2 victory after David Clarkson got the winner in the third.

The shots were fairly even at 27-25 for the Devils but the Rangers just couldn’t find the equalizer after Clarkson put the Devils up in the third.

Ilya Kovalchuk, Ryan Carter, and David Clarkson had the markers for New Jersey while Marc Staal and the surprising Chris Kreider put one in for his fourth of the Playoffs. Not bad for a guy who hasn’t played an NHL Regular Season game.

The series shifts to New Jersey on Saturday afternoon and the Devils will be looking to take a lead in the series for the first time.
