All is well now but, many gamers were up in arms during some unexpected PlayStation Network downtime this afternoon.

If you turned on your PS3 this afternoon or were playing a game, you may have had a bit of an inconvenience. The inconvenience? The fact that the PlayStation Network was down for all related services on all available platforms. The error code that popped up was 8071053D and required users to update their passwords however, no one actually did have to change them, if you clicked the button to change you were just met with the error.

All has been resolved now after unscheduled maintenance and you should be able to access all your PlayStation goodness although it was scary remembering the month-long outage from last year.
