Sony held a press event today in London to show off the fruits of their labour in regards to the PlayStation Store redesign. Check out the pictures inside to see what you can look forward to in the coming weeks!
The new design is a far cry from the current one which has dominated since the PlayStation Network’s inception in 2006 even though it’s gone through some minor changes since then. This new design is very reminiscent of the Xbox 360 Metro design which isn’t entirely a bad thing.
One of the big problems with the current interface has been the confusing nature in which items are categorized which seems to be completely fixed with the addition of many new categories to help users find exactly what they’re looking for.
The best addition to the PlayStation Store is the streamlined way that content is grouped together. No longer do users have to search multiple times for content related to the same game, all content related to each game is grouped together for quick and easy access.
The PlayStation Store redesign will be available in Europe on October 17th and October 23rd in North America. What do you think about the new PlayStation Store? Tell us below in the comments section!
