The Philadelphia Flyers have agreed to terms with D Mark Streit today in an attempt to bolster their blueline for next season.

The Flyers have verbally agreed to terms with Defenceman Mark Streit after acquiring the exclusive negotiating rights to the for Islander last week for Shane Harper and a 4th round draft pick in 2014.

This past season Streit had 6 goals and 28 assists playing in all 48 games of the shortened schedule.

The Flyers will have to shed some salary according to CapGeek and are expected to do so with compliance buyouts. Players like the oft-injured Daniel Briere and the inconsistent Ilya Bryzgalov could be prime candidates for those buyouts.

The Flyers also have to worry about Claude Giroux who is set to become a Restricted Free Agent in 2014-2015.
