The Canucks have made a deal for a once-promising young player in Cory Conacher.

The Vancouver Canucks have acquired forward Cory Conacher from the New York Islanders in exchange for centre Dustin Jeffrey.

In 15 games with the Islanders this season, Conacher had one goal and three points. The 25-year-old has five goals and 17 assists in 28 points with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL.
