Olli Jokinen’s time as a Leaf is already up.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have traded centre Olli Jokinen to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for a conditional 6th-round draft pick that could go up to a 4th round pick if the Blues reach the Stanley Cup Final and he plays. The Leaf also acquired Joakim Lindstrom in the deal per hockeybuzz.com.
Jokinen, 36, has appeared in 54 combined games with the Maple Leafs and Nashville Predators this season, scoring three goals and four assists. The Maple Leafs acquired him on Feb. 15 as part of the trade that sent Cody Franson to the Predators.
He signed a one-year, $2 million contract prior to the start of the 2014-15 season and is eligible for unrestricted free agency on July 1.
