It looks like Seth Rollins’ return to Wrestlemania may be in jeopardy as WWE is reporting that the Raw star re-injured his right knee Monday night. posted the following update: “Seth Rollins’ right knee was re-injured during Samoa Joe’s ambush at the conclusion of this Monday’s Raw, can now confirm. The attack occurred as Rollins was heading to the ring to finally confront Triple H, who cost The Architect a WWE Universal Championship opportunity back in August.”

Here’s Rollins being helped out after Raw:

Rollins was forced to miss 6 months of action after tearing the ACL, MCL, and medial meniscus in his knee during a match with Kane at a WWE live event in Europe in November of 2015. Rollins was forced to vacate the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and missed last year’s WrestleMania 32 pay-per-view.

Rollins himself posted this tweet:

PWTorch is also reporting that the injury seems legitimate as Rollins fell knee twisted awkwardly when Joe went for the submission. Wade Keller had this to say about the injury:

This appears to be just a fluke injury, as Joe yanked Seth to the mat and Seth’s boot just caught on the canvas. This either reshuffles WWE storylines, if the priority is to make sure Triple H is in a significant top match on the show, or it just erases Triple H’s match against Seth. There’s enough depth on the card to absorb a loss of one it’s top four or five matches, and this is one of those. The hope, of course, is that Seth can still work with a knee brace at WrestleMania or be fine by WrestleMania, but the early speculation among WWE sources is the fear is he’ll miss four-to-six months. I don’t know if Joe will take any heat for this, but between injuring Tyson Kidd in NXT and now Seth on Raw in his debut appearance, it’s not the type of record you want.

It’s a tough situation for Seth. He worked so hard to get back and be a part of Wrestlemania and here he is possibly sitting out yet another one. What a tough break and a sad thing that had to happen to one of WWE’s top stars.
