I recently dusted off my PlayStation 2 console to play a game that had always eluded me as a child. Check out what I thought about it inside as FYIG Plays Splashdown Rides Gone Wild!
Splashdown Rides Gone Wild is a game developed by Rainbow Studios for the PlayStation 2 back in 2003. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Rainbow Studios, they have developed the first two games in the ATV Offroad Fury series and are most well-known for their MX vs. ATV series. I first saw Splashdown Rides Gone Wild in an ad on the back of the instruction booklet for ATV Offroad Fury 2. I instantly thought the game looked quirky and fun and I wanted to buy it.
I decided I was going to go to the store and buy the game after Christmas 2003. That’s when I saw Kingdom Hearts. Suffice to say, I could only buy one and I chose Kingdom Hearts. I don’t regret that choice, but I always wanted to play Splashdown. This past Summer I finally broke down and bought the game for the sum of $8 on Lukie Games. I waited until this week to play the game and this is part of that playthrough. Take a look at why I thoroughly enjoyed this game below.
