Nintendo Scraps Original Development of Metroid Prime 4, Retro Studios Takes Over

Shinya Takahashi, Nintendo’s Senior Managing Executive Officer, offered a development update on Metroid Prime 4 for Nintendo Switch today and it’s not good news.

Shinya Takahashi, Senior Managing Executive Officer of Nintendo, explained that the development that had taken place on Metroid Prime 4 thus far would be scrapped and that producer Kensuke Tanabe would work with Retro Studios to restart development on the game from the beginning.
