Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am an Alternative Rock N Roll artist from New York City. I explore a sound and aesthetic that is nostalgic of a bygone era in rock n roll music, while maintaining a strong pop ambition, giving it a contemporary twist.

How did you get your start in music?

I got my start in music at a very young age. Around the age of 8 I discovered The Beatles and Led Zeppelin which led me to the guitar. From there, music sort of fired off something in my brain, as it usually does at such a young age. I started performing in bands at the age of 10 and stuck with it ever since.

How would you describe your musical style?

Stylistically, I pull from so many things, so many different genres. As a songwriter, I think its important to have an open mind and a broad taste. With that exploration, I try and fit it into my genre, to hopefully give it a new twist. There are definite elements of 70’s rock, punk, etc in my music, but still maintaining pop sensibilities in the writing.

What did you learn from your time in a band that you’ve applied to your solo career?

The band I was in previously, was the first band I was in that had toured nationally and was signed to a label. I didn’t have any of that experience previous to that band, so I’d say I gained quite a bit of knowledge from both ends, as an artist/performer and about the business. I was 20 and somewhat naive when I signed my first deal. It could be very easy to get caught up in other people’s ideas and perceptions of who you should be, which I think can be toxic and harmful as an artist. From that experience, I sort of rediscovered myself in who I really am as a songwriter and as a performer. I needed to navigate through all that in order to get where I am today. I took all of what I learned as a positive. It was healthy.

Your latest single is called, “Walk The Line”. Tell us a bit about this song.

This song is meant to inspire people to go against the grain and embrace all the things that make them unique. Though it may seem scary sometimes to free our most authentic selves, only by carving our own path can we feel truly liberated. Walk the Line is an anthem for all the misfits in the world, encouraging each and every one of them to live boldly and unleash their inner star power.

Do you have any plans for an EP or full-length album?

Absolutely. Plenty of songs in the vault at the moment! We don’t have a set release date on an album or EP but you can most definitely expect a release sometime this year.

What advice would you have for aspiring singers/songwriters?

My advice for an aspiring artist would be to make sure you have an identity, staying true to yourself and not conform for anyone. Believe in what your doing.

What’s your life like outside of music?

I couldn’t say there is much of a life, fortunately. Its all do, and love doing.
