How did you get your start in music?

I loved making up songs as a child and always knew I wanted to become a singer one day. At age 18 I studied at a private jazz music school and 3 years after I worked at a recording studio for a couple of years. Then I started working with different producers and started writing my own demos.

How would you describe your musical style?

Electro-Pop (with many other influences)

What can you tell us about your latest single, “Stronger” and the video behind it?

It’s a catchy pop song, very radio-friendly that tends to stick in your head all day. The lyrics speak of staying strong and holding on in dark moments of life. For the music video, I chose the Fort Tilden location because it’s an old military base with strong looking ruins scattered around the island. It needed the dancers to dance fierce and powerful.

You choreographed the video. What was that experience like?

In Belgium, I made the choreography for “Stronger”. When I went to New York one hour the day before the Shooting I taught it to 8 dancers.

What was it like working with producer Alex Agranovich on the song?

It was very easy going. I sent him my demo and he made a beautiful mix of it.

What’s next for your career?

I’ll be releasing singles every few months and push songs in every way possible with my manager. Will start writing for other singers.

What advice would you have for aspiring singers/songwriters?

Make sure you love doing it, keep writing songs, keep pushing, be careful who you take advice from and never give up.

What’s your life like outside of music?

When I’m not writing, composing, and dancing, I like to travel to different countries with my friends. I love seeing how the locals live and partying with them.
