Nintendo received a number of honours at The Game Awards in Los Angeles, winning the awards for Game of the Year for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Best Family Game for Super Mario Odyssey and Best Handheld Game for Metroid: Samus Returns. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild also won the awards for Best Game Direction and Best Action/Adventure Game.
